Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first in the opening ODI of the five match series against the Proteas at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Thursday afternoon.
The Australians absolutely crushed the Proteas in the T20I series, picking up three thumping wins which will give them plenty of confidence heading into the ODI series.
The Proteas have however welcomed a number of star players back who were rested for the T20 series, with Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller and Kagiso Rabada all fresh and starting and they will hope their return will give them the boost needed.
