President William Ruto has mourned the death of Banissa Member of Parliament Kulow Maalim Hassan, who succumbed to injuries sustained after an accident on Saturday.
The legislator died on Wednesday morning at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.
In a message on Wednesday, President William Ruto condoled Banissa constituents for losing their MP.
“I extend my condolences to the family, colleagues and friends. We have lost a dedicated public servant and a passionate advocate for the people and interests of Mandera County as a whole,” Ruto further stated in his condolence message.
Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale also mourned Kulow saying; “It is with a heavy heart that I have woken up to the sad news of the sudden demise of my brother and colleague Hon. Kulow Maalim Hassan; MP, Banissa Constituency, a brother in faith and comrade in the North Eastern Province (NEP) leadership.”
Mvita MP Mohamed Soud Machele also sent his condolences to Banissa constituents and the family of the late MP.
Mandera West MP Adan Haji Yussuf mourned Kulow as a great leader and a devoted Muslim who played a pivotal role in society.
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris also condoled with the family of Kulow and his constituency.
