Police FC Team Manager George Maelo feels the presence of former Gor Mahia players in the team will help flip the odds in favour of his side when the two teams clash on Saturday.
Former Gor captains Musa Mohammed and Haron Shakava are currently with the military side as well as midfielder Francis Kahata and forward Clifford Miheso.
Maelo has backed the four to play decisive roles against their former team who come into the game in superb form and as the FKF Premier League leaders.
“They have won titles with Gor and they will help the rest of the team to understand what to expect during match days they have made us stronger and we will be looking forward to get the best form the team come match day,” said Maelo.
Police are currently fourth in the league and Maelo knows a win will boost their chances of fighting for the title, something they are targeting this season.
“We want to win the title and for us to do so we have to win big games like the one on Saturday so we are preparing for the big fight and we hope with the hard work we are putting in place we will get maximum points,” Maelo added.
The former Sofapaka captain said his side will be wary of the threat posed by Gor striker Benson Omala who has scored 15 goals in 15 league games but insisted they have top defenders who can handle him.
“They have one of the best strikers in the league at the moment we have to be ready to face him we have top defenders in our team who can match him and we hope to be the team that will stop his goal scoring form.”
