Kenyan international Farouk Shikalo has denied reports of having agreed to join Police FC .
Shikhalo who is a free agent having parted ways with his former club Kinondoni Municipal Council of Tanzania said he is in talks with a number of clubs both local and international, but he is yet to agree a deal with any.
He is however keen to sign up for one soonest possible, with his mind still in the national team pool.
“There is no truth about that. I haven’t signed for Police FC, am still a free agent although we are in talks with a number of clubs both local and international.
"When I join one those clubs I will let the public know,” said Shikhalo.
Having featured for Bandari in 2018 before joining Yanga Sports Club acquired his services in 2019, Shikhalo said he is willing to return to the Kenya Premier League if a suitable deal is reached at by any club requiring his services.
“The league is improving, there is a lot of competition among the teams and if a club needs my services, I am willing to sign as long as it is a deal that will benefit both parties ,” he added.
Last week Police FC team manager George Maelo told Citizen Digital that they are in need of a goalkeeper and they were waiting for the team’s technical bench to settle on one.
“We have not agreed any deal with him but it is true we are looking to strengthen our goalkeeping department but the technical bench is yet to settle on one goalkeeper we are also shopping for a midfielder and as striker,” stated Maelo.
