Naivas FC secured their fourth win of the National Super League (NSL) season with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Kajiado FC at the Ildamat Stadium in Kajiado County.
John Kelwish and Briana Ouru scored either half of the game as they claimed a crucial away victory that moved them into eighth on the NSL standings.
Elsewhere Muranga Seal defeated Coastal Heroes 4-1 to move into second and trim Shabana FC’s lead at the top down to just two points.
In Kajiado, Kelwish broke the deadlock in the 20th minute after collecting a loose ball in the danger area before driving a lovely shot into the back of the net.
The visitors protected that advantage going into half time and it was Naivas who began well after the restart but could not convert their chances.
The lead was doubled just eight minutes into the second half as Ouru turned the ball beyond the goalkeeper from a corner kick.
The newly appointed Naivas Head Coach Elvis Owado said he was happy with the away win terming it a boost to his side as they prepare for more coming matches.
“I am happy I took the mantle the other day as coach and this being just my first match I’m glad to take home all three points. This a big boost to my players and we have new strategy with the aim of wining more games as they come bay,” Owado said.
