A 26-year-old woman was on Wednesday arraigned and charged with creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.
Tabby Ndung’u, according to court papers seen by Citizen Digital, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly daring police officers to shoot at her, before hurling expletives at them.
The charge sheet read: “On January 24, 2023 at TRM Drive in Kasarani sub-county within the Nairobi County, [the suspect] created a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by shouting to the police officers ‘shoot at me!’”
“On January 24, 2023 at TRM Drive in Kasarani sub-county within the Nairobi County, in a public road namely TRM Drive [the suspect] used abusive words with intent to provoke a breach of the peace.”
Ms. Ndung’u pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined Ksh.10,000 for each of the two counts, or serve a six-month jail sentence.
