Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have submitted a club record offer to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, a journalist has claimed.
Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia throughout much of the summer, with the top league in the country determined to seal deals for marquee players.
Karim Benzema, Neymar and Sadio Mane have all agreed to move to Saudi Arabia this summer, while Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Al Ittihad have submitted an offer to Liverpool which, if accepted, would break the Saudi Pro League transfer record set by Al Hilal's £77.3 million move for Neymar.
He wrote: "Al Ittihad don't give up for Salah: the club sent a huge offer (more than $100m) to convince especially Klopp - who rejected the idea of his farewell so far - to let him go."If Liverpool will accept, it'll be the most expensive deal in the history of Saudi League."
The player himself, meanwhile, has already made his stance clear on a potential transfer via his agent.When rumours began to heat up of a potential move to the Saudi Pro League earlier in August, his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to Twitter to deny that the Egyptian had any desire to leave Liverpool.
He said: "If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract last summer."Mohamed remains committed to LFC."Salah has started the season in strong form for Liverpool, scoring a penalty in their 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
The previous week, he played a key role in the build-up to Luis Diaz's goal to put the Reds 1-0 up at Chelsea. The game ended 1-1 following Axel Disasi's equaliser.
Salah, who was described as an 'exceptional' player by Klopp, still has two years remaining on his contract at Liverpool. He is part of the club's new leadership group following the departure of former club captain Jordan Henderson to Al Ettifaq.
