As two resurgent teams in South Africa’s first division, Maritzburg United and Hungry Lions will do battle in a headline fixture in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend.
On the back of consecutive league wins, the Team of Choice and Hungry Lions will take to the Windhoek Draught Park on Sunday afternoon. Hungry Lions are currently on a three-match winning streak, while they occupy third on the log.
The Team of Choice, who are in second place on the Motsepe Foundation Championship table, go into their next game on the back of a 1-0 away win against Platinum City Rovers.
Elsewhere, log leaders Orbit College will take on Pretoria Callies at the TUT Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Callies are yet to win a game in the league this season, recording six draws and one defeat in seven matches played so far.
Also, Milford and Venda Football Academy will face off at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Friday, as both sides look to steer away from the drop zone. Occupying 15th and 16th place respectively, Milford and Venda have accumulated just five points from seven matches played this season.
