He was arrested by some police officers as he allegedly tried to escape with the phone of the financial advisor.
The officers took him to Kilimani police station where he was booked before he was arraigned on Tuesday.
After pleading not guilty to the charges, the prosecution did not object to his release on bond.
Ocholla was released on Sh15,000 cash bail with the surety of the same amount.
The court also directed that the accused person be supplied with the witness statement and documentary evidence that the prosecution intended to rely on.
