Erling Haaland was spotted having an awkward encounter with a staff member inside the Etihad Stadium tunnel after Manchester City’s match against Fulham.
On Saturday afternoon, City thrashed Fulham 5-1 at the Etihad Stadium as the reigning champions continued their 100% record in the Premier League.
Haaland scored three whilst Julian Alvarez and Nathan Ake also got their names on the scoresheet.
After the match, Haaland was spotted having an awkward interaction with a staff member inside the Etihad tunnel. The Norway international was seen walking into the tunnel with the match ball in hand, he then appeared to barge into a staff member who looked like he was telling Haaland to go in a different direction.
Whilst fans speculated on social media, the reasons behind the altercation between Haaland and the staff member remain unclear. On the back of his hat-trick, Haaland said in his post match interview: “I'm back. No problem for me. I'm always hungry. It's a new season and I'm ready for it.“We go into the international break having won four in four. Good start to the season.”Whilst City assistant manager Juan Manuel Lillo said: “This guy was born scoring goals and he will go through his whole life scoring goals, so it will be no surprise if he manages to get the same figures as last season. But it doesn't matter if he doesn't.
“Today in the first half none of the team played well. We didn't find that freshness in our play.”
He continued: “Our opponents kept the ball well, and that made it difficult for us. So it would have been difficult for any No 9 in that game, particularly with the characteristics Erling has.”
After the international break, City will be back in Premier League action against West Ham United.
