Liverpool are planning to sign two more midfielders in addition to Wataru Endo this summer, according to reports.
Endo is on the verge of completing a move to Anfield after the club agreed an €18million (£15.4million) deal with Stuttgart for the midfielder on Wednesday.
Eagle-eyed supporters have since tracked the 30-year-old's flight which reportedly landed at the John Lennon Airport yesterday evening ahead of the Japan international's medical.
However, Jurgen Klopp is not finished there, and is keen to bring in another two midfielders before the transfer window slams shut in less than two weeks' time.
That's according to talkSPORT, who claim that Liverpool have begun talks with Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League rivals Manchester United this summer.Meanwhile, the Reds are said to have reignited their interest in Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch.
Amrabat, who was described as "extraordinary" by former Spain boss Luis Enrique after Morocco beat the European giants in the World Cup, would fill the last non-homegrown squad place at Liverpool, with Endo having taken the other.Gravenberch, meanwhile, would not take up a non-homegrown spot due to being just 21 years of age, meaning Klopp could feasibly sign all three midfielders to his ranks.
They are likely to have sufficient funds, too, with Liverpool having previously displayed their wealth when they agreed a £110 million deal with Brighton for Moises Caicedo, only for Chelsea to hijack a deal at the last minute.
According to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Gravenberch could be available for £43 million, with Amrabat expected to cost as little as £30 million, claim CaughtOffside.
Therefore, all three midfielders could come in at well under the price the Reds were willing to spend on Caicedo.
So far, Liverpool have brought in midfield duo Alexis Mac Allister and Hungary captain Dominik Szoboszlai, leaving Klopp in need of at least one defensive-minded midfielder.
