Liverpool supporters have got their first look at new signing Wataru Endo in action prior to their Premier League clash against Bournemouth.
The Japan international signed for the Reds from Stuttgart on Friday for a fee of around £17 million.
And he has been named in Liverpool's matchday squad to take on the Cherries at Anfield on Saturday, meaning he could feature for the Reds for the first time.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder fills a crucial gap in Jurgen Klopp's squad - and he was registered in time to enable him to play some part against Bournemouth. And Liverpool fans have already gotten a glimpse of their new number three before he even takes to the pitch.Prior to the match, fans saw Endo take part in a pre-match rondo training drill, involving all the substitutes.
Endo started out in the middle as he attempted to win the ball back from his team-mates.And it didn't take the 30-year-old long to show off his defensive abilities - at least on a basic scale - as he tackled the ball within seconds to take his position on the outside of the circle. It wasn't the ideal start to the game for the starting XI that Klopp did pick, however, with Liverpool going 1-0 down after just three minutes through Antoine Semenyo's strike.
