Inter Miami star Lionel Messi attempted an ‘Olimpico’ during Argentina’s clash against Paraguay.
On Thursday night, Messi was in action for his country as Argentina faced Paraguay in the World Cup qualification round.
Nicolas Otamendi’s goal in the third minute was enough to seal a narrow 1-0 win for the reigning world champions.
Messi was introduced in the 53rd minute and went on to hit the woodwork twice during a decent cameo. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner attempted an ‘Olimpico’ as he looked to score his side’s second goal.

Messi’s attempt went over everybody but bounced onto the woodwork.
During the match, it was alleged that Paraguay player Antonio Sanabria spat in Messi’s direction after a heated exchange.
As per Marca, Messi said: “The truth is that I didn't see it. They told me in the locker room that one of them had spit on me.
“The truth is, I don't even know who this guy is. I didn't see him. They only told me.”He continued: “I don't want to give important either because he's going to come out, talk everywhere and it's worse.
“It's going to become known, so it's better to leave it there.”
Sanabria said to TyC Sports: “I was looking at the image. It seems like I spit it out but, no, there's nothing to see. It was far away.
“Nothing happened with Messi. It seems like I spit out, but there's nothing to see, it was far way and I totally deny it.”
