Police in Kisumu are holding a woman at Kondele police station after she allegedly gave her 4-year-old son traditional brew, locally known as chang’aa.
In a video making rounds on the internet, the visibly-intoxicated minor is seen staggering and unable to walk.
Kisumu County Police commissioner Josephine Ouko confirmed the arrest on Sunday, saying police and officers from the children’s department arrested the mother at her house in Shauri Moyo area.
The minor has since been taken to Mama Ngina children’s home.
