Host Hotel Director, Jamaleddin Ahram said they are looking forward to welcoming Team Kenya as they have set aside good hospitality for them.
Ahram is also optimistic the ambience will give Team Kenya a good opportunity to acclimatize well in time for the Paris-24 Olympics.
“The team should not be worried at all; we have prepared the best for them including engaging a Kenyan chef to prepare their preferred Kenyan dishes like ugali, the traditional greens vegetables, local Kenyan tea, chapatis and so much more. We have hosted sports teams here before like the Morocco national team so it’s the best choice,” Ahram stated.
The Kenyan delegation will be accommodated at the scenic Ariane Hotel that has 72 three-star and 60 two-star rooms.
The facility also has a conference room, spacious lounges, swimming pool and a 5km, 10km nature trail that athletes can utilize as part of their recovery.
“The conversation to have Team Kenya camp here started two years ago, we are proud to have them in our structure,” Ahram said.
He added, “We have had a very nice experience with the Kenyan delegation having met legendary Paul Tergat, Ferdinand Omanyala and the ambassador. We have seen Kenyans are nice people and we are happy to work with them.”
Hotel Manager Fred Causse, on his part, remarked; “We are proud that the Kenyan delegation chose our hotel, this is a good thing for our city and province. I wish Kenya all the best in the Olympics, we will be waiting to host them back with medals.”
