Olago’s said the annual rugby 15s curtain raiser is an opportunity to identify the areas to work on.
“I am not thinking about the title…what I am saying is that we are still in preseason. There are things we are looking to improve every week and going into the league,” Olago said.
The bankers were in a class of their own, swatting aside Kenya Harlequin 45-0 in their quarterfinal fixture of the Impala Floodlit Tournament at the Impala Grounds on Saturday night.
Despite the dominant start to their title defence, the national under-20 coach said there are a few teething issues to resolve before the Kenya Cup comes around.
“We have seen a few areas in which we are still making mistakes. We are going to correct it. The game tempo is good but we are still working on other things,” he said.
Olago added: “It was a good performance from the boys…I applaud them. Good leadership from Griffin (Musila)…but we are still in preseason and there are other guys we are going to test.”
In the preceding match of the weekend, Nondescripts RFC edged out Catholic University Monks 20-18 in a closely contested tie.
