President Paul Kagame’s son Ian Kagame has reportedly joined Rwanda’s elite presidential security team that protects the Head of State.
Photos of Ian alongside other members of the Rwanda Defence Forces first emerged during a national prayer breakfast in Kigali on Sunday.
He was donning a black suit and a necktie.
This comes barely three months after joining the Rwandan Army along with some 500 other cadets.
Last August, Ian was commissioned to the rank of a second lieutenant during a graduation ceremony at the prestigious Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst UK. He joined the college in 2021.
President Kagame and first lady Jeannette Nyiramongi Kagame attended the ceremony.
