The Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) 2023, one of the largest digital technology exhibitions in Asia, is set to run for four days until Friday in the city of Chiba, east of Tokyo, with a total of 684 companies and organizations, including electronics makers and information technology firms, taking part from Japan and abroad.
Aiming to realize a sustainable future using the latest technologies, CEATEC 2023 will showcase data collaboration, green digitalization, super cities and other technologies to communicate new innovations and social changes, according to its organizer, Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).
It is the first CEATEC to be held after coronavirus restrictions were fully removed. The event was held partly or fully online for the past three years.
First held in 2000, CEATEC has consistently demonstrated how technology can enrich people’s lives.
In 2016 CEATEC announced a major shift in direction, from being a consumer electronics trade fair to an exhibition focused on realizing Society 5.0 and envisaging society and lifestyles of the future made possible by IoT and co-creation.
