Jadon Sancho is on the verge of leaving Manchester United in January, it has been claimed.
Sancho, 23, has been banished from first-team training after refusing to apologise to manager Erik ten Hag following their public fall-out.
The Englishman was left out of the Red Devils' lineup to face Arsenal last month, with Ten Hag providing an update on the player after their Carabao Cup victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Sancho was reportedly 'blocked from attending' a recent barbecue hosted by Ten Hag for the rest of the squad.
And it has now been claimed that the winger could leave the club in January. That's according to respected Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who has claimed that a loan deal is "more likely" than a permanent transfer.
Plettenberg adds that a return to his former club Borussia Dortmund is "very unlikely", with Sancho keen to play regularly elsewhere.
Barcelona are thought to be admirers of the player, while United's Premier League rivals Liverpool have also been urged to sign him.
Providing an update on Sancho's situation, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tipped Wolves wide-man Pedro Neto as the winger's potential replacement at Old Trafford.
“Just one final point on Man United and Jadon Sancho – at the moment there is no significant update to report, and I’m not aware of any decision on a potential new winger signing in January,” Romano told CaughtOffside.
“There are many good opportunities around such as Pedro Neto who I’ve already mentioned and who is a fantastic player, but it’s absolutely not sure or guaranteed that Man United will spend big money in January."
