In a clear reference to the refereeing performance in the game, with a comment that now appears to have been deleted, Mac Allister wrote 'normal cuando jugas con 12...' in his native Spanish.This translates as 'normal when you play with 12'.
However, Romero replied bluntly after this by simply saying 'a llorar a casa' - which means 'go cry at home'.
The next Argentina squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru later this month is yet to be announced - but it might be a frosty reunion between the duo, if selected, if that exchange is anything to go by.
