Liverpool could be tested in their resolve to keep hold of talisman Mo Salah by Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad who are preparing to offer a £129m package to the Anfield side for the attacker, according to the latest speculation.
The 31-year-old Egyptian international has been at Liverpool since the summer of 2017 when he joined from Italian side Roma.
Salah has gone on to become a modern-day legend at the Anfield club, scoring 187 goals in 307 games for the Reds as he has become the club's top Premier League goalscorer in that time.
He has gone on to win the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Club World Cup and Champions League with Liverpool and will be remembered as one of the greats to ever wear the famous red shirt.Salah put pen to paper on a fresh contract last summer at Liverpool which runs until the summer of 2025, which now has fewer than two years left to run on it.
There has been an exodus this summer of players from Europe's top leagues to Saudi Arabia, with Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Al Nassr last year after his departure from Manchester United seeming to be the start of this process.
Al Ittihad have an interest in bringing the Egyptian international to the Saudi Pro League and now the package which the Middle Eastern side hope to entice Liverpool to sell one of their prized assets has now been revealed.According to CBS Sports, a package totalling £129m is being prepared by the Saudi Arabian side to present to Liverpool for Salah's services.
This is comprised of £85m in an initial payment, with an extra additional £44m in bonuses on offer to Liverpool.
However, the Anfield club's stance is said to remain as it was surrounding Salah and have no intention of losing the attacker, especially with the Premier League season now under way and only a few days remaining of the summer transfer window, with the deadline coming at 11pm on Friday.
And Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has no intention of letting Salah leave Anfield, saying recently: "Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and essential for everything we do. If there would be something [an offer], the answer would be no.
"My life philosophy is I think about a problem when I have it, and there is absolutely nothing at the moment."
