Harry Kane has signed an eye-watering contract to join Bayern Munich from Tottenham - but how does his new wage compare to his new team-mates?
Kane was officially announced as a new Bayern player on Saturday after the German giants agreed a €100 million fee with Spurs earlier in the week.
The 29-year-old England captain made his debut on the same day, featuring as a second half substitute in Bayern's 3-0 German Super Cup defeat to RB Leipzig.
Once he is fully up to speed at his new club, Bayern supporters will expect Kane to fire them to glory in the Bundesliga - and potentially in the Champions League as well.As the record signing in the history of the German top division, the forward will need to hit the ground running. According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Kane has signed a contract worth around £21.5 million per year - around £400,000 per week - at the Allianz Arena.
That figure will, therefore, reportedly make the 29-year-old the highest earner at the club.
According to a report from football finance website Capology, Bayern's current highest earner is goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who is said to earn around £350,000 per week at the club.Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane, Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry are all said to earn between £300,000 and £350,000 per week.
Fellow new signing Kim Min-jae, meanwhile, reportedly earns £198,000 per week, while Capology claim that star midfielder Jamal Musiala earns £88,000 per week.
Kane's competitor for the striker role, Eric Choupo-Moting, is said to earn over £115,000 per week.
Speaking at his first press conference as a Bayern player, Kane explained his motives for leaving Tottenham for the German giants: "Ultimately, I want to be playing at the highest level, I want it to be playing in the Champions League, I want to be fighting for titles every year.
"Coming to Bayern Munich, one of the biggest clubs in the world, gives me that opportunity, so I'm looking forward to that challenge."
