Erling Haaland has revealed that every time he scores a hat-trick, it costs him a fortune.
The Norwegian is well renowned for plundering goals in Manchester blue, having scored 52 times for during City's treble winning 2022/23 campaign.
Meanwhile, Haaland was handed the match ball an incredible six times. More recently, he grabbed another hat-trick during City's 5-1 win over Fulham last month, taking his tally to 19 throughout his career.
However, contrary to the phrase 'good things come in threes', the 23-year-old's hat-tricks come at a price. That's because Haaland pays for every match ball to be displayed in a glass case in three different countries.
Speaking to The Telegraph about whether he keeps the balls, Haaland said: “Yeah, I have them in Norway, England and Spain.
“I have a nice system with a guy who makes glass stands and I can sit them on.
“I have every single ball because I write on them with the date and everything so I can remember.”Fortunately for Haaland, he isn't short of cash after it was reported he was the second-highest earner in the Premier League behind City teammate Kevin de Bruyne.
Meanwhile, the striker could be in line to receive a £1 million bonus payment should he lift the 2023 Ballon d'Or .
Haaland will be hoping to add to his collection against Arsenal on Sunday, as the two Premier League heavyweights face off at the Emirates.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward was on target during both Premier League victories over the Gunners last term, and will have his sights set on more goals in north London - and perhaps another glass case.
