Harry Kane received a new car last week and must now comply with Bayern Munich's strict vehicle rule.
The England captain continued his excellent start to life in Bavaria with a brace in a 3-1 win over Augsburg at the Allianz Arena on Sunday.
It capped off a fine week for Kane, who was gifted a new car by Bayern's sponsors Audi on Wednesday.
Bayern have a long partnership with the German car giants, who are actually shareholders and give each player a new car every season. The tradition has been ongoing for more than 20 years and Kane, along with teammates, were presented with their new chosen drives in Ingolstadt.
A total of 12 Bayern stars, including Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich and Leroy Sane, opted for an Audi RS e-tron GT which typically costs around £120,000.Kane, however, decided to go for a black Q8 e-tron worth £58,000 because it is more suited for a family car and the 30-year old has just welcomed a fourth child with wife Katie.
"I decided on a family car. Now that I have four children, I just need the space," he said, as per the Daily Mail.
Players are expected to arrive at Sabener Strasse training base in their Audi vehicles, as well as matches and other club-related events.Kane's teammate Kingsley Coman was reported to have been facing a hefty fine two years back for turning up to training in his Mercedes. He was refused entry and forced to park on the street in what was a second offence for the Frenchman, who once arrived in his McLaren.
Players are allowed to drive their own cars in their free time but must adhere to the rule in any activity related to the club.Driving cars Bentleys, Bugattis and Porches is permitted because they are part of the Volkswagen group who own Audi.
Kane has adapted quickly to life onto the pitch but he has admitted some difficulty when it comes to driving.
"I've already tried [driving in Germany], but of course not with the new car," Kane told BILD.
"I'll slowly get used to the fact that the steering wheel is on the other side. So far I haven't had a crash, that's a positive thing."
