Kenya has produced 11 personalities in the 2022 list of ‘100 Most Influential Young Africans’ by public relations firm Avance Media.
Among these include; Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, climate activist Anita Soina, CNN journalist Larry Madowo, tennis star Angella Okutoyi, and athlete Ferdinand Omanyala.
The others are leadership coach Caren Wakoli, CNN Hero of the Year Nelly Cheboi , environmentalist Elizabeth Wanjiru Wathuti, Charlot Magayi, Mohammed Adow, and Amandla Ooko-Ombaka.
The 2022 list of the annual publication featured young people from 25 different nationalities, and who are working in various industries including; media, business, leadership, climate change, and entertainment.
Nigeria had the most persons making it to the list with 31 entries, followed by Kenya with 11, Ghana with 10, while South Africa and Tanzania had 7 and 5 entries respectively.
The list also featured continental music superstars such as Nigerian acts Tems, Wizkid, Davido, Omah Lay, Kizz Daniel, Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya, as well as Tanzanian Bongo stars Zuchu and Mbosso.
