Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has refuted allegations that they have been served with a fresh transfer ban by FIFA.
Rachier said those reports amount to ‘propaganda’ peddled by idle enemies of the club, adding the club is now close to clearing payments owed to Ghanaian striker Jackson Owusu whose complaints to FIFA led to a previous ban.
The club boss however admits that there are fresh complaints from some foreign players who were released at the end of last season, but they are yet to be contacted by FIFA about the status of their complaints.
“I’m aware of fresh complaints from some players we released at the end of last season, but it has not reached that point of ban. There is nothing to hide. Should we be slapped with another ban, we shall make it public,” Rachier said.
Congolese striker Yangayay Sando and Malian shot stopper Adama Keita have registered their complaints with FIFA demanding salaries and allowances from the record Kenyan champions.
Last week, Rachier indicated they would clear with Owusu by the end of this month, but only yesterday reports the club had been hit with another FIFA ban began to emerge.
Gor will play derby rivals AFC Leopards on Sunday in what will be coach Jonathan Mc’Kinstry’s first Mashemeji Derby.
