Fans were left in shock that Wolves were not awarded a penalty in the final moments of their Premier League fixture against Manchester United after an incident involving Andre Onana.
The United goalkeeper went to claim the ball in the final minutes of the match, but ended up appearing to miss the ball completely before colliding with Wolves forward Sasa Kalajdzic.
The incident was checked by VAR, but the check was deemed complete without referee Simon Hooper having to go over to the monitor. United would hold on for a 1-0 win.
Wolves manager Gary O'Neil was sent off for his protests - and most fans were in agreement that a penalty should have been awarded.One fan made their views clear: "Absolute stonewall penalty."
Another added: "How on earth is that possible. Shambles."
A third said: "Crazy penalty decision ngl. Onana hit him with a clothesline from hell."
A fourth stated: "That's got to be one of the most stonewall penalties you'll see all season. How is VAR not even asking the ref to take a look at it?"
There were some fans, though, that thought VAR made the correct decision. One said: "That was not a penalty though. Arrives late, yes, but Onana was trying to contest."
Although the decision was controversial, the Cameroon goalkeeper did finish his United debut with a clean sheet - and he made some important saves along the way.
Wolves had six shots on target - four more than their opponents at Old Trafford - with Onana a crucial part of securing the win on his Old Trafford bow following his big-money move from Inter Milan. But, of course, it could have all gone wrong at the end.
