Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Manchester United's bid to sign Sofyan Amrabat this summer.
The Red Devils have already added Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund to their ranks this summer, but Erik ten Hag isn't finished there.
The Dutchman is thought to want another midfielder and Fiorentina's Amrabat has emerged as the club's priority target, with the pair having worked together previously at Utrecht.
Meanwhile, the Serie A club added fuel to speculation when they left him out of their squad list for last weekend's pre-season friendlies.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Fiorentina are keen to recoup £30 million for the Morocco international, but United are standing firm in their £21m valuation.However, transfer expert Romano has insisted that Amrabat's arrival hinges on the departures of current players at the club, but confirmed talks are taking place between United and the 26-year-old.
Speaking on his YouTube channel on Tuesday, Romano explained: "Talks are taking place between Amrabat and Man United.
"The player wants to move but it's crucial to understand that to enter important stages of the deal a bid is needed, a conversation is needed between clubs.
