The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) recovered assets worth Sh940 million in the 2021-2022 Financial Year.
In its report, EACC said the assets were recovered through court processes and out-of-court settlements.
The anti-graft agency also said in its report that during the period under review, it counducted 103 random and targeted integrity tests within public institutions.
The said-institutions are the National Police Service (NPS), Anti-Counterfeit Agency (ACA), The Judiciary, Nairobi Metropolitan Services, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services, Kenya Seed Company, Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, among others.
“Out of the 103 tests, 60 failed, 28 passed and 15 were inconclusive. For the officers who failed, the Commission recommended administrative action to the respective institutions,” said the EACC in its report.
