Drama ensued in Bondeni Estate, Nakuru East on Monday when the body of a 60-year-old man was abandoned at the business premise of a debtor who owes the deceased Ksh.400,000.
Curious residents say the family abandoned the body of Richard Ogendi who died 2 weeks ago before he could be paid the amount from the micro-savings group.
The debtor, Simon Waweru well known as Baba Martin, fled the scene when the family arrived at his business premises early morning.
Confirming the incident, Nakuru OCPD Martin Masika said they have advised the family of the deceased to take the body for burial in Kisii or return it to the morgue and pursue the civil case after laying their loved one to rest.
Residents say Waweru, the originator of the micro-savings group, is reported to have conned other members huge amounts.
