Deputy President Gachagua is neither bitter nor vengeful towards his political rivals, particularly those from the rival camp.
This he revealed during a media round table on Sunday, in which he seized the opportunity to pour cold water on claims that he is a 'bitter man'.
The second-in-command cited EALA MP Kanini Kega as an example of someone who he claims was instrumental in his 'persecution' during President Kenyatta's tenure.
Gachagua claims that despite their prior disagreements, he extended an invitation to Kega to collaborate with the Kenya Kwanza government when Kega contacted him.
"I'm willing to talk to anybody who wants to talk to us,"DP Gachagua said. "And we are talking to many people, some come during the day and some at night depending on how they look at things,"
The DP claimed that both he and the Head of State are Christians and that they have no interest in seeking revenge against their supposed political rivals.
"All we are saying is that we must be truthful, if that truth cuts somebody, so be it," he added.
"Sometimes when we speak the truth about so and so, you think we are bitter, we have no bitterness with anybody,"
