Lari MP Mburu Kahangara has opposed any handshake government between President William Ruto and the opposition saying it not constitutional.
Speaking on Thursday in Limuru, Kahangara said in an election, there must be a winner and a loser.
The legislator noted that the negotiations between the government and the Opposition should not be taken lightly and none should take advantage of the dialogue process.
“We must take care of our laws. Allowing the creation of a handshake government is a very bad precedence because it will be forcing the losers of other elections to take to the streets to be accommodated in government,” Kahangara said.
He spoke at Ngarariga Independent church in Limuru constituency, Kiambu county where he accompanied Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
