Dominik Szoboszlai has revealed what Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah has told him about a potential move to the Saudi Pro League.
The league submitted a staggering verbal bid totalling £150 million for Salah on deadline day, with the intention of signing him to Al Ittihad.
Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Fabinho are among the players that have already signed for Nuno Espirito Santo's side, but Salah would arguably be the most marquee signing of them all.
Liverpool quickly rejected the offer, as per The Athletic, but reports claim that the Saudi Pro League is intent on returning to the negotiating table with a proposal worth up to £200 million.Salah scored in the Reds' 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Anfield, netting his second Premier League goal of the season.
Szoboszlai had earlier given Liverpool the lead with a stunning long-range strike - his first for the club - and was asked about the Egyptian winger's future after the game. The Hungarian explained what Salah had told him and his fellow Liverpool team-mates about a potential move away from Anfield.
He said (quotes via Fabrizio Romano): "We speak between each other... he wants to stay here, he wants to be here, he wants to stay with us."At the end, he stayed and that's great news. He's a top player."Jurgen Klopp was asked about Salah's future during his pre-match interview and whether he had to ensure that he was fully focused on the game against Villa.
He told Sky Sports: "I didn't have to. I have a big desk on my office, with a lot of papers on there. I had a lot of other things to do and we never thought about it.
"Mo was completely normal, good training week. No, there was nothing from my point of view to think about."
