David de Gea has rejected a move following his Manchester United departure, according to stunning reports.
The 32-year-old was released earlier this month, putting an end to his 12-year spell at Old Trafford.
He's looking for a new club ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, with the goalkeeper subjected to an offer from Italy
According to the Daily Record, De Gea has called off talks with Inter Milan, who offered a reported contract worth £83,000-per-week.
The Serie A giants want him to replace Andre Onana, but the Spaniard has turned down the proposal.
The report also claims De Gea's preference is a move back to Spain, having started his professional career at Atletico Madrid.
He graduated from the club's youth academy then went onto enjoy two seasons at Atleti before making his switch to the Premier League.
Though a return to the red and white side of Madrid seems unlikely with Jan Oblak the club's No.1.De Gea's replacement at Man United has been concluded following the Red Devils' acquisition of Onana.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper joins Erik ten Hag's team in a transfer worth £47.2 million.
Speaking to the club's official website, Onana said: "To join Manchester United is an incredible honour and I have worked hard all my life to get to this moment, overcoming many obstacles along the way. Walking out at Old Trafford to defend our goal and contribute to the team will be another amazing experience. This is the start of a new journey for me, with new teammates, and new ambitions to fight for.
"Manchester United has a long history of incredible goalkeepers, and I will now give everything to create my own legacy in the coming years. I am excited by the opportunity to work again with Erik ten Hag, and I can’t wait to play my part in the success I know he is determined to deliver at this great football club."
