The Dafabet Warriors will look to make good use of the Boland Park conditions after winning the toss and electing to bat first in their CSA One-Day Cup Division One clash against Gbets Rocks in Paarl on Wednesday.
In what can be considered a must-win encounter for both sides, the Warriors sit in second position on the log, two points behind Western Province who lead the pack on 20 points from five matches.
A win will see the Gqeberha side return to the summit of the table, as they currently sit on 18 points from their five encounters in this year's competition.
However, a win for WP in their clash against the Titans on Friday will see them retake pole position heading into the final round of matches on Sunday
The Warriors have been in a rich vein of form, having won three games on the trot against the Momentum Multiply Titans, DP World Lions and AET Tuskers, and they will be eager to keep that run going under the guidance of captain Matthew Breetzke.
At the other end of the table, Peter Malan's side will play for pride, if nothing else, as they look to pick themselves up off the foot of the standings.
The Boland-based side have won just one of their five matches in this year's competition, which came in a convincing 82-run win over the Tuskers earlier this month.
Their misery was compounded when they were penalised three points for a slow over-rate against the Titans in September, which means they have accumulated just four points in this year's edition.
