Kipchumba Murkomen, Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works, now claims that meeting with leaders who oppose President Ruto's leadership is pointless.
CS Murkomen, speaking on Monday said that he was aware of the opposition leader warning his troops against warming up to the government.
"I know the opposition leader has told MPs that that they should not been seen with William Ruto," CS Murkomen said.
"I have told these leaders, if you don't want to meet with President Ruto, there is no point for you coming to meet the Minister for Roads,"
"We can as well sit with leaders of other counties,"
According to Murkomen, his office however remains open for all leaders who are ready to work with the government, regardless of their political persuations .
At the same time, he stated that his office is ready for discussions on how to complete the pending road projects in the face of a Ksh.910B pending Bill.
His remarks come just a day after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua compared the Kenya Kwanza government to a company limited by shares.
According to the DP, those who 'invested in the company' will receive the lion's share of the cake, while those who invested nothing will receive nothing.
