Chief Justice Martha Koome on Wednesday held a consultative meeting with a delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Headquarters, and Regional Section for Africa and Middle East.
Koome said the notable impact of the Judiciary’s strategic partnership with UNODC is the Programme for Legal Empowerment and Aid Delivery in Kenya (PLEAD) .
Koome said PLEAD has enabled the strengthening of the workings of National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) and Justice sector.
"I believe UNODC should continue partnering with us to augment and deepen the reach of this programme due to its transformative potential," Koome said.
