Chippa United will go head to head with Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Tuesday.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).
CURRENT FORM
The Chilli Boys remain winless this season having drawn 0-0 with TS Galaxy at home on 9 August and they have failed to win their last four competitive matches.
Chippa find themselves placed 11th on the DStv Premiership standings having collected two points from two matches coming into the game against Pirates.
Meanwhile, Pirates made it two wins in a row across all competitions when they hammered Sekhukhune United 5-0 in an MTN8 clash over the weekend.
Bucs are currently placed sixth on the DStv Premiership standings with three points from two games and they will be hoping to move up on the log with a win over Chippa.
TEAM NEWS
Chippa are yet to report injuries in their camp and Pirates loanee Goodman Mosele looks set to face his parent club.
Pirates, on the other hand, are likely to be without Thembinkosi Lorch, Miguel Timm and Olisa Ndah who have been nursing injuries.
WHAT WAS SAID?
Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro
"Of course, the forward players in the squad are very talented players," Riveiro said.
"So obviously I can only be happy that we've scored nine goals in two games, understanding that it's not going to be always like that.
'We were very effective a few days [against Royal] ago and today (on Saturday) we were clinical," he added.
"It's not always possible to score four or five goals in one game. Sometimes one and then you have to keep a clean sheet like we did today."
Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila
"We wanted to play differently [against Galaxy], we wanted to play more in the final third because we wanted goals as we were playing at home," Mammila said.
"We didn't want to concentrate on possession. We played well in the first 20 minutes and we should have scored one or two goals. They also had their chances.
"This is because the way play it is too risky and that's how we are going to play. We had some loose passes. We are in the process of building.
"But credit to goes my players, they played well. If continue to keep clean sheets, we will get a goal."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Chippa United
Ronaldo Maarman: The speedy winger will be facing Pirates for the first time since he parted ways with the Soweto giants after a successful loan stint at Chippa.
Maarman, who netted three goals and provided five assists in the league for Chippa last season, has the ability to create problems for the Bucs defence and haunt the Soweto giants.
Orlando Pirates
Zakhele Lepasa: The Bafana Bafana international is in the best form of his life having netted twice against Royal AM last week Tuesday before grabbing a hat-trick against Sekhukhune.
Lepasa, who was named Man of the Match after the game against Sekhukhune, looks unstoppable at the moment and he could be the man to inspire Bucs to a win over Chippa.
