Chippa United have completed the signing of defender Sinoxolo Kwayiba from second-tier Pretoria Callies, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old had been linked with a move to Polokwane City earlier in the transfer window, but that appears to have fallen through.
Instead it is Chippa who have won the race for the signature in what is a homecoming for the player.
“We’re thrilled to announce the signing of the versatile Sinoxolo Kwayibe, originally from Motherwell, Gqeberha. We eagerly anticipate the contributions he will bring to our squad. We wish him all the best,” coach Morgan Mammila said.
Kwayiba made his professional debut with Callies last season, featuring in 24 of their 30 Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures (22 starts). He scored two goals.
