Chelsea fans have a chant for Mykhailo Mudryk but rival supporters are letting them know that it doesn't quite work.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk man finally got off the mark for the Blues in his 24th game for the club, bagging the opener in a 2-0 win over local rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.Armando Broja was also on the scoresheet as Mauricio Pochettino's side won back-to-back games and moved up to 11th in the table. The visiting supporters made plenty of noise in the away end - including going after former player Mason Mount with an X-rated chant.
And a video of their song being belted out in the concourse also went viral on social media.
The chant references Arsenal, who were interested in Mudryk once upon a time, and their failure to win the Champions League.
The lyrics read: "He flew in from Ukraine, on Boehly's private plane.
"Mudryk said to me. Have Arsenal won the Champions League?"
"So I told him no, you know the place to go.
"Then he said to me, I wanna lift number three."However, fans of other clubs felt the need to remind Chelsea supporters that they are not even in Europe this season after a dismal 12th place finish in the Premier League last season.
One wrote: "This is terrible and not even in the Champions League?!"
A second said: "To lift number 3 you’d have to actually be in the competition."
A third had the same thought, adding: "Mind you they’re not in European competition this year."
A fourth made the point: "Based on current trajectory Arsenal are more likely to get to 3 UCLs before Chelsea."
A final user commented: "Only about 9 months late with this aren’t they."
Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012 and 2021 but will need serious improvements if they are to be back amongst Europe's elite.
Their next outing is against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
