Fabrizio Romano has revealed what he's heard about Jamal Musiala's potential move to Liverpool.
The 20-year-old has emerged as a target for Jurgen Klopp following reports that he is unhappy with his lack of game time at Bayern Munich.
Musiala is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2026, with the Bundesliga side understandably keen to tie him down to a new deal.
However, the German international has had to balance his minutes with Thomas Muller this season, which has allegedly become a "problem".Meanwhile, Liverpool could look to use Ryan Gravenberch as a secret weapon in order to land the young midfielder.
Although the Reds are expected to face serious competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as clubs in Spain.
That's according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has provided an update on the player's situation.
“Liverpool have been linked with Musiala, but trust me it would not just be Liverpool, there are many important clubs around Europe keeping an eye on Musiala," the Italian said his latest Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside.“Jurgen Klopp knows the player’s talent very well, but also people at Chelsea, Manchester City, and clubs in Spain, because he’s one of the best young talents in world football. So this is normal, it’s not about negotiating, it’s just about following a top young player."
Romano also compared him to Real Madrid starlet Jude Bellingham and predicted that his transfer value would be worth over €100 million (£87m).
“In my personal opinion, he’s worth more than €100m; I’d compare him to Jude Bellingham – a generational talent," he added.
"So of course Bayern absolutely plan to extend Musiala’s contract with an important proposal, and they will try also with Leroy Sane and Alphonso Davies. It’s complicated, but still on.”
