FCB Nyasa Big Bullets eased to an uncharacteristic first away Caf Champions League win in seven years after beating Equatorial Guinea hosts Dragon 2-0 on Saturday.

Maxwell Gasten scored twice inside 10 minutes in the first half in the preliminary round first-leg match.

Bullets rarely win on the road and Yamikani Fodya is the only surviving member from the squad that won 1-0 on the road after defeating Fomboni FC in Comoros on 15 February 2015.

Tizgobere Kumwenda stepped off the bench to net the lone winner for the Malawi champions in that preliminary round first-leg contest.

On Saturday, it was the show of Gasten, who headed into the net from Lanjesi Nkhoma's corner-kick in the seventh minute.

Gasten doubled the advantage 11 minutes later for the visitors to go into the break with a spring in their step.

Kalisto Pasuwa's men now host Dragon on 26 August in the return match.
