Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has responded after being accused of ignoring new signing Andre Onana.
On Wednesday, United were up against Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid as they continued their pre-season tour of the United States.
Goals from Jude Bellingham and Joselu sealed a 2-0 victory for Los Blancos.During the match, Fernandes was criticised by fans after it looked like he ignored new goalkeeper Onana before a corner was taken.However, the Portuguese has now responded on social media.
Commenting on a post, Fernandes wrote: “Nice how you could see me ignoring him when I was going to the place we was telling me to be positioned in the corner.
“Nice try to make it look bad.”After being named the new captain of the club by manager Erik ten Hag, Fernandes said: “Obviously, it's a great honour.United will next face Borussia Dortmund at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada before matches against FC Lens and Athletic Club round off their pre-season fixtures.
The Red Devils will start their 23/24 Premier League campaign with a clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 14 August.
