The 'Shoke Shoke' concert headliner entered the stage late into the night after Kenyan acts Boutross, Khaligraph Jones and Mejja had already brought the house down.
Prior to Ayra's euphoric entrance, Mejja treated fans to a riveting show, performing through a retinue of his biggest hits days after recovering from throat complications.
Earlier, a charged-up Boutross, who is currently riding high with his smash hit 'Angela', took his shirt off to deafening cheers from his female fans as he roared through the arena, keeping exhilarated fans on their feet.
Clad in all-red, rap luminary Khaligraph Jones entered the stage next, spiritedly tearing through some of his biggest hits, keeping the crowd enthralled as he invited them to chant along to seminal hits like 'Yes Bana' and 'Mbona'.
Sultry female act The Only Rosa had performed much earlier, taking fans through a calculated tour of her jams, enthusiastically singing her heart out.
A few minutes after Khaligraph Jones left the stage, event MC Shaffie Weru invited Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to the stage.
"Kuja usalimie mafans bana ," he urged the County Boss.
An animated Sakaja quickly jumped on stage, greeted the crowd and then proceeded to invite Khaligraph Jones back on stage and then, alongside him, tore through a quickfire rap freestyle to defeaning cheers from the packed crowd.
Almost two hours past midnight, Ayra Starr, the star of the night, arrived dressed in a pair of spanky denim pants, a barely-there top and tons of flashy jewelery.
Backed up by well-coordinated dancers, Ayra opened with her latest hit 'Sability' and, by the time she got to the chorus, the thrilled audience wildly sang along, screaming their hearts out to "Sabi O.... Sabi O...."
Not too long after she hopped on stage, however, the Nigerian superstar left, leaving her dancers keeping the crowd activated while she went backstage to recharge.
Her reappearance also appeared to be an anticlimax as she performed for a little less than thirty minutes and left the stage altogether.
Disappointed fans, including media personality Sheila Kwamboka, expressed their displeasure at Starr's unsatisfactory show terming it too short.
Before ending her show, however, Ayra invited a surprise act - 'Ta Ta Ta' hitmaker Bayanni who also rocked the crowd with his Tiktok-fuelled hit.
Former Starehe MP and singer Jaguar, P-UNIT founding member Gabu and Lang'ata MP Jalang'o were also some of the notable names who thronged to the KICC to witness the event.
