Atalanta are considering raising their asking price for Rasmus Hojlund after bids from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, it has been claimed.
According to Sky Sports United are optimistic about striking a deal with Atalanta for Hojlund, with the 20-year-old tipped to join ahead of the club’s opening Premier League game against Wolves on August 14.
Personal terms are reportedly no issue, with the Denmark international keen to make the move to Old Trafford. However, at present there remains a gap in valuation, with United allegedly unwilling to bid beyond £60million.
PSG have also made a £43million offer for Hojlund, though the Ligue 1 club’s interest is unlikely to sway United in their approach. However, according to Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb, Atalanta continue “to raise the price” for Hojlund, despite the striker having made less than 90 senior games across his career.
The report claims Atalanta are now asking for at least €70million (£59.8million) to €75million (£64.3million) for Hojlund.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports allege the Italian club are seeking £59.8million plus £8.5million in add-ons.
