Arsenal fans are calling on Mikel Arteta to make a unique goalkeeping change after a clean sheet statistic involving Aaron Ramsdale went viral.
Ramsdale has started each of Arsenal's first three Premier League games this season, keeping a clean sheet in his side's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last Monday.
But he conceded in under a minute against Fulham on Saturday when he was wrong-footed by Andreas Pereira's opportunistic low effort from distance.
Ramsdale conceded a second goal late on as Joao Palhinha swept home, but the England international could do nothing to keep it out.
The Arsenal goalkeeper's performances will naturally come under more scrutiny this season given the arrival of Raya on loan from Brentford. It is manager Mikel Arteta's intention to create more competition for the starting spot, mirroring Arsenal's transfer strategy in other positions this summer.
And some Gunners fans want Ramsdale to be replaced in light of an eye-opening statistic - but there is a catch.Ramsdale kept 13 clean sheets last season, ranking among the top goalkeepers in the division. In fact, only Manchester United's David de Gea (17) and Liverpool's Alisson (14) recorded more.
But only four of those clean sheets were recorded at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal conceding 25 goals in their 18 home league games last term. With the figures from this campaign added on, it means Ramsdale and the Arsenal defence have kept only four clean sheet in front of their own supporters in the last 21 fixtures.
And some Gunners fans believe now is the time to give Raya an opportunity between the sticks after Saturday's draw against Fulham - even going as far as to suggest that the Spaniard should play in home games, with Ramsdale getting away games.
One fan wrote: "I still repeat - Raya at home, Ramsdale away."
Another said: "Away games I'll go with Ramsdale. Home games for Raya."
A third added: "Ramsdale has a poor record at Emirates than away games. It is time you try David Raya in home matches, Mikel Arteta."
While Arteta wants competition for his goalkeeping position, selecting goalkeepers for home and away games is certainly be something we've yet to see in the Premier League - and could make for great viewing.
