According to the Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang the tournament that will be overseen by Football Kenya Federation, is aimed to empower the youth in efforts to combat drug abuse and reduction of crime while at the same time promoting talent.
“We have seen the level of unemployment in this county and we want to keep our youth busy so that there not lured to engage in drug and substance abuse. We are not engaging in football but also other games,” Chesang said.
The winners in the men category will part away with Sh 1million and the runners up Sh 500,000 while in the women category Sh 300,000 for the winning team, Sh200,000 for runners-up, Sh100,000 for third place and Sh50,0000 fourth place.
The league will also include other games including volleyball, pool and other indoor games.
