Al Hilal have identified a new striker target after missing out on the signing of Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
The Saudi Pro League side attempted an audacious swoop for the 23-year-old, even having a £259 million bid accepted by PSG for the France international forward.
But ESPN reported, via sources, that Mbappe rejected the chance to even speak with Al Hilal representatives when they arrived in Paris.
It is claimed that Mbappe wants to leave the club as a free agent next summer and join Real Madrid but, for now, the saga over his future continues.As for Al Hilal, their summer of big spending continued on Wednesday when they announced the signing of former Barcelona winger Malcom from Zenit Saint Petersburg. The Brazilian joined for a reported fee of at least €60 million.
But it appears the club will continue to spend money - and they have their eyes on another high-profile target.
Al Hilal identify next transfer targetAccording to Loic Danzi, a reporter for French outlet L'Equipe, Al Hilal will turn their attentions to Napoli star Victor Osimhen after missing out on Mbappe.
He tweeted: "After the failure of their attempt on Mbappe, Al Hilal will position themselves very quickly on Victor Osimhen."Manchester United have reportedly been interested in signing the Nigeria international this summer, but the Daily Mirror claim they were quoted a staggering £170 million asking price by Napoli.
Given the bid put on the table by Al Hilal for Mbappe, Napoli could feasibly ask for even more money from the Saudi Pro League side for Osimhen, who is one of the club's key players.
He scored 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances last season, winning the league's Golden Boot as the Italian club eased to their first league title since 1990 - when Diego Maradona was still the star man.
Napoli chairman Aurelio de Laurentiis is known for his strict negotiation policy, but a £170 million bid - which would make Osimhen the second most expensive player in football history behind Neymar - may well be too much to turn down.
