While monthly premiums for personal accident cover for an individual have been set at Sh35, families (four-members) will also have access to Sh150.
Hospital Cash, or Hospicash, will consist of Sh40 monthly for individuals and Sh170 for families.
Likewise, the last expense cover will be capped at Sh40 every month and Sh170 for families.
However, individuals can choose to take all three coverages cumulatively, with an individual paying Sh100 and families paying Sh420.
The firms announced that the mobile-enabled insurance solutions target lower-income families and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Hospicash, for example, provides policyholders with a daily cash benefit of Sh500 for hospitalization of three up to a maximum of 30 days per annum.
In case of a death from an accident or a natural cause, beneficiaries will be entitled to a lump sum payment of Sh100,000 that will cover income loss, outstanding bills, and burial expenses.
