Kapsabet boy’s high school, a national school in the Nandi region, about 44O students reported by 5 PM on Monday which was the first day of admission.
The School Chief Principal Kipchumba Maiyo said the number was 90 percent of those earmarked to join the institution.
Maiyo said they expect 98 percent of those supposed to join the school will have reported by the end of the week.
He said they reported despite minor challenges among them school fees.
“We have made a resolve in this school not to turn back any student who reports. We have allowed them even without fees and personal effects, we admitted them as we try to get sponsors for them,” Maiyo said.
The school expects to receive 6OO form ones and the principal said they would go look for those who may not have reported by the end of February 13, which is the deadline set by the government.
Maiyo expressed optimism that those who lack fees and failed to access scholarships from the corporate world would be considered by the Alumni.
Kapsabet high school has a total population of 21OO students.
